Last Wednesday, February 11, our Tommy Bahama Home Palm Desert store on El Paseo had the pleasure of hosting an evening to kick off Modernism Week in true desert style. It was a beautiful celebration of the iconic architecture and timeless design that define Palm Springs and the surrounding desert communities.
Modernism Week is one of the most anticipated moments of the season, honoring the clean lines, bold silhouettes, and seamless indoor-outdoor living that have made desert modernism globally influential. Our Palm Desert showroom provided the perfect setting to gather designers, clients, and friends who share an appreciation for inspired interiors and architectural heritage.
The evening reflected a refined blend of relaxed luxury and modern design. Guests experienced firsthand how the effortless elegance of Tommy Bahama Home pairs beautifully with the enduring influence of modernist architecture. It was a celebration of legacy and craftsmanship, while also highlighting how these design principles continue to shape the way we live today.
We were honored to collaborate with Barclay Butera, whose sophisticated California aesthetic complemented the setting perfectly. Together with Lexington Home Brands, the event created an atmosphere that felt elevated yet welcoming — a true reflection of desert living at its best. Catering was thoughtfully prepared by Eight4Nine, offering a culinary experience that complemented the evening’s ambiance. Party Host Helpers ensured every detail was seamlessly executed, and the event was beautifully captured by photographer Tony Lattimore, whose images reflect the warmth and energy of the night.
